Do CPQ quote templates work in Revenue Cloud?
No. CPQ's document generation stack is a set of managed-package objects — SBQQ__QuoteTemplate__c for the template, template sections and content for its structure, SBQQ__QuoteDocument__c for each generated file — and none of them carry over to Revenue Cloud. Any automation, button, integration or scheduled job that creates or reads those records stops working, and the output format has to be rebuilt in whatever document tool replaces it.
How it fails
This one is usually noticed immediately, because somebody tries to send a quote. It earns its place here because it is routinely scoped as 'templates, a day or two' and is reliably its own project.
What to do instead
Plan a separate document-generation workstream; this is usually its own project.
